As the 2021/2022 holiday season is nearly upon us, we find ourselves reflecting on the past year which has produced many difficult challenges for all. It’s been quite a year has 2021…

On behalf of everyone at here Hamptons ITM we would like to take this opportunity to recognise and thank all the clients that have been supportive of Hamptons ITM in 2021. Your loyalty means the world to us. You have been patient, understanding and thoughtful during this challenging time and the incredible levels of demand on building materials.

We are immensely proud of the resilience, flexibility and professionalism of all the staff who have remained focused on delivering for you (our clients) during this 2021 year.

Hamptons ITM thank you for choosing to shop with us and your ongoing support and partnership and we wish you a happy and peaceful holiday and look forward to working with you in 2022.

It’s that time again, the Christmas tree is up in the shop, the days are warmer, and everyone is looking forward to a summer holiday. Santa and his Elves have been equally busy and there are already some goodies under the tree here.

Looking suspiciously like toolboxes, we have three gifts full of surprises from brands such as Dewalt, Milwaukee, Hikoki, Toolware, Wattyl, Sika, and a few more that we can’t make out without giving the gift a good shake and prod. If you’ve been good this year, then come in-store and spend $100 and we’ll put you in the draw to win one of these gifts (less than $100 and you’ll get a lump of coal). The prize will be drawn on December 16^th.

Thanks to our Suppliers – the Team Behind the Team

Everyone says they like a challenge and 2020/2021 has certainly put that to the test. We would like to thank our many and varied suppliers who have taken the brunt of these challenging times, endeavouring to get materials to us while facing their own difficulties with manufacturing and supplies.

We would like to offer a personal thank you for your support of Hamptons ITM. Patience isn’t our strong point, and we have nothing but respect for our suppliers and the way they have dealt with our testing phone calls and inquiries. The team here at Hamptons is sincerely grateful for all they do.

One day we’ll look back on all this period of time and laugh, but in the meantime, all we can offer is a heartfelt thanks!

Everyone is an expert at Hamptons ITM – and not just when it comes to building products!

Each month one of our staff will offer up their top 5 from one of their specialist subjects outside of the building industry.

Around the office, our Estimating Coordinator Andrew Blackler is affectionally known as Mr. Christmas, which sounds rather jolly until you find yourself tortured by Christmas carols emanating from his desk from early November! Who better in December to provide us with Hampton’s Top 5. We’ve asked Andrew for his top 5 Christmas carols, a tough job since we’ve heard a couple of hundred different ones from him in the last month. Here’s his top 5 – hopefully without any Mariah Carey 😉

**1. Pukeko In a Ponga Tree** – Always a Great time at the Totaranui Christmas Eve Carols Night Screaming “5 BIG FAT PIGS!!!” at the top of our lungs with the whole extended family (on my mum’s side… all 21 of us).

**2. Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer** – it’s always fun adding the kiwi twist on it adding the little bits to the end of each line “And if you ever saw it You would even say it glows, *like a flashlight!*”, “They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games, *like Monopoly!*.”, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, you’ll go down in history, *like the All Blacks!*”.

**3. Any Mariah Carey or Michael Bublé Christmas album**, because you know it’s Christmas when you can’t enter any store without hearing their music.

(*Oh Andrew, how could you*..)

**4. Cantique de Noel (O Holy Night)** – because I’m a sucker for a good old-fashioned Choral Carol.

**5. Summer Wonderland** – because it’s good to hear a Christmas song that makes sense when you spend it at the beach!

Congratulations to Jason Lamb for being admitted to Movember’s Hall of Fame (HOF) for his massive fundraising efforts. Great stuff!
