Welcome to the April edition of Hamptons Happenings. As the mornings get crisper and the coffee stays hot for a little less time, we are leaning into the new season with a blend of high fashion and hard-earned realism.

This month, we are officially unveiling the Hamptons ITM Autumn Collection. While it might not be Paris or Milan, our local runway is packed with hard-wearing gear that looks just as good at smoko as it does on the job site. We are also taking you behind the scenes for a “fly on the wall” look at a typical day for our customer service team. It is a fast-paced world of sideways plans and missing receipts, but Hamish and Rowan wouldn’t have it any other way.

In this issue we:

  • Unveil our Autumn Collection, featuring the latest site-ready looks from Hard Yakka modelled by our very own yard icons.

  • Go behind the scenes with a minute-by-minute account of the miracles performed daily by our customer service desk.

  • Showcase the new Sika display in-store, brought to life with some cinematic flair by Rachel and Alex.

  • Provide a clear guide to our holiday closure dates for the Easter break and Anzac Day.

  • Invite you to join the fun on Instagram for our latest supplier collaborations and a massive storewide Autumn Sale.

Whether you are looking for a new fleece to beat the morning chill or just need a hand navigating your next big project, come in and see the team. We are here to make your building life easier.

Autumn Collection: Hamptons ITM

As any Paris Fashion Week aficionado will tell you, each new season demands a new look. And as the unapologetic trendsetters we are, Hamptons ITM is proud to unveil our Autumn Collection.

This season, we’re leaning into a look that blends form, function, and a healthy dose of tradie realism. Think runway‑ready meets site‑ready.

Leading the collection is Hard Yakka, a brand admired for its timeless silhouettes, robust finishes, and its refusal to go out of style — or fall apart. Stylish yet affordable, and built for the tough conditions of everyday work, this is fashion that doesn’t just look good, it earns its keep.
Our key statement pieces include:

Flannel Shirts – $60

Very hard‑wearing, impossibly comfortable, and endlessly versatile — whether you’re on site, at smoko, or pretending you’re only “quickly popping in” to work.

HiVis Fleeces – $85

Warm, practical, and guaranteed to remain visible even after years of hard graft.

This collection is rounded out by a selection of cargo shorts (priced at $50) & work pants ($60) – built for movement, loaded with pockets, and tough enough to handle whatever the day throws at you — from site work to toolbox meetings.

We also have hoodies in-store. Comfortable, dependable, and ideal for those early starts and cooler afternoons when layering is essential. Priced at $50, these are a bargain that delivers style at an affordable price.

These looks are modelled below by our very own Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford of the Hamptons catwalk — Damian and Mike. Effortlessly confident, naturally photogenic, and absolutely unfazed by the cameras.

No collection is complete without a strong presentation, and our latest in-store Sika stand delivers exactly that. A svelte, understated display that highlights the modern form and function of the product, it brings a refined aesthetic to the retail floor while still meaning serious business.

The creative minds behind this elegant display are Hamptons’ own Dolce and Gabbana — Alex and Rachel proving once again that high design doesn’t have to come with a high‑fashion price tag. A display this striking deserves the cinematic treatment, which is exactly what Rachel has given it in this video.

A Day in the Life of Customer Service at Hamptons ITM

Customer Service at Hamptons ITM is part logistics coordinator, part detective, part therapist and occasionally, part mind‑reader. It’s fast, unpredictable, sometimes dramatic… but always handled with professionalism, humour, and more patience than should ever be required. There are a million stories to be told at Hamptons ITM, and this is Hamish and Rowan’s little timetable:

6:37am: The roller door goes up. Somewhere in the distance, a reversing beeper signals the arrival of the day’s first truck. Coffee is poured. The computer logs in. A calm, optimistic voice says, “Should be a good day.” That optimism lasts approximately four minutes.

6:59am: Rowan takes the first call of the day: “Hey mate, I just need a quick price.” (Reader note: it is never quick.) By the end of the call, Rowan has priced timber, fixings, flashing, delivery, a crane, and a part the customer describes only as “that metal thing you put on the end.”

7:02am: Someone arrives at the counter convinced they picked something up “last week” under the name “maybe Dave, or Steve, or the boss.” They are absolutely sure it was here. They are also absolutely sure they don’t need the receipt.

7:07am: A quote is requested… urgently. The job is “starting today.”  The plans arrive… eventually… in photos… sideways… taken from inside a moving ute.

7:26am: Hamish performs the first miracle of the day: finding stock that is technically where physics suggests it should not be. The yard team denies all knowledge. Hamish smiles politely and keeps searching.

7:31am: Phone rings. “Yeah mate, your driver just left without half my load.” Delivery confirms: everything on the docket was loaded. Customer confirms: something is “definitely missing.” After a careful review, it was discovered that the missing item was never ordered. This information is received… calmly. Mostly.

7:37am: A builder wants to change their order. The truck is already loaded. The truck is leaving. The truck has now entered a mysterious zone where phones no longer work. Rowan takes a deep breath and makes it happen anyway.

8:30am: Someone asks if a product can be used outside, inside, underground, upside‑down, and in the rain. They are reassured gently that no, it cannot do all of those things at once.

9:12am: A builder wants to change their order. The truck is already loaded. The truck is also already leaving. The truck has now entered a mysterious zone where phones no longer work. Rowan takes a deep breath and makes it happen anyway.

10:30am: Someone asks if a product can be used outside, inside, underground, upside‑down, and in the rain. They are reassured gently that no, it cannot do all of those things at once.

11:45am: Lunch approaches, confidence builds… and then: “Hey, we’re missing four lengths.” “Which four?” “Just four.”

12:01pm: Lunch is rescheduled.

1:17pm: The fourth version of the “final, absolutely final” quote is sent.

2:05pm: A calm discussion about pricing turns into a philosophical debate about how timber used to cost less in 2009. Hamish listens respectfully, as he always does.

3:22pm: A customer calls to say the solution you suggested earlier worked perfectly. These moments are rare. They are treasured.

4:31pm: One last delivery question. One last stock check. One last “sorry to bother you” that gets handled immediately.

5:01pm: The phones stop. The screens go dark. Another day survived.
And tomorrow?
We’ll do it all again — coffee first!
