Greetings and a very warm welcome to July 2023 and our 50th edition of Hamptons Happenings!
In this issue we:
Last month we told you about the LBP training day at Addington Raceway. There has been a change of date for this event, and it is now scheduled for 12th July, still at Addington Raceway.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused, those of you who followed the LINK will have the correct day.
Once again, six LBP points are available, with onsite learning and a day of interactive fun. If that doesn’t excite you, then the FREE lunch will.
Speak to your account manager for further details and we’ll see you there on the 12th of July.
Wednesday 12th July
8:00am – 4:00pm
Regular visitors would have seen that we now stock Gorilla Grab in-store. This is an excellent all-around construction adhesive that can be used on multiple substrates such as Polystyrene, plasterboard, metal, and flooring, along with damp and dry timber. Best of all – the price! Hamptons is running this out the door at $4.50 excluding GST until the end of July 2023.
While in the store, you’ll notice that on the same stand, we have a QR code. Scan this for instant online training that’s worth one LBP point to you. Come in and give it a try….we think the product is a great high-grab adhesive and we would love to know your experience of it….So please don’t forget to share this with the Hamptons team.
Speaking of deals, we also have some very competitively priced plasterboard available.
10mm and 13mm in 2.4, 2.7 and 3 metres.
Come in and speak to the boys, this is selling at a very good reduced rate as we’re keen to move it on.
Our quotes coordinator Andrew Blackler will be off for four weeks on a well-earned overseas adventure in July. Rest assured he will be back in August, but not before he takes in the pleasures of Poland, Germany, Italy, France, and the UK.
He’ll certainly need a holiday after all that travelling (43,018 kilometres by our calculations) and we will be wistfully following his movements online.
Meanwhile, back at Hamptons, Hamish Whitta will be looking after the estimate department and Rowan will be the master in the Customer Service Role in Andrew’s absence… Hamish & Rowan will be a great team providing the service that is valuable to all while Andrew is away, although in the office we will miss Andrew’s smiling face and bountiful fun facts.
You have got to feel sorry for this poor bricklayer – I almost felt guilty for laughing.
Not sure if you’ve noticed but it’s getting dark out there in the mornings and evenings. Come into the shop and check the deals on lights and torches for this month’s Hot Deal….Happy to talk the deal for you..!
At Hamptons ITM, our team members aren’t simply proficient in constructing products; they’re also enthusiastic about a diverse array of hobbies and interests. To celebrate our staff’s unique talents, we will be featuring a personal area of expertise each month.
This month world traveller, and Hampton’s creditors’ number one lady, Raewyn, gives us her top five travel destinations. Keeping the suppliers happy is very important and when not doing that Raewyn likes nothing better than jetting off around the globe in search of shopping bargains and the perfect holiday cocktail. Grab your passport, here’s Raewyn’s top five places to visit around the world.
Barcelona has some amazing sites such as the largest unfinished Catholic Church in the world – the Sagrada Familia. The beaches are also amazing and have day beds at a cheap price, sometimes people offering $10 massages!
I love to shop so Paris is excellent for shopping. Very nice sites to visit eg; Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Louvre Museum and Arc de Triomphe.
Brilliant markets such as The Stalls of Valletta which is the largest market on the island. Malta also has great restaurants and very friendly people.
4. Geneva (Switzerland):
Very expensive but a lovely place to just relax. Geneva is close to France so it made it easy to jump on buses to visit Villages in France.
The Annual Lake Geneva Jaycees Fireworks display is a top site to see – held every August.
Excellent sites to visit. Had afternoon tea at Buckenham Palace and did a tour of the palace. Excellent views from the London Eye and also wonderful for shopping.
What is your favourite travel destination? Come and chat with Raewyn next time you’re in the store!
Best wishes,David & Wendy, Don, Carolyn and the rest of the team at Hamptons ITM
